"Koi Symphony"
I love painting koi fish with watercolor.  This painting is
on a half sheet of Arches CP 140# paper.  It has been accepted
into Sacramento Fine Art Center's Animal House annual
open juried show from Aug 6 through Sept 1, 2019

It has been a while since my last post though I have continued to
enjoy my art journey.  Besides painting, my other activities include
attending art workshops. entering into juried shows, some
traveling, both in the States and abroad.  The most rewarding
experience in the past 3 years is making new artist friends.

The "Chrysanthemums" painting is a half sheet (22x15)
watercolor on Arches CP paper completed in the Fall of 2018.
It has been accepted into the Vacaville Art League
and Gallery's 41 Annual Juried Art Show.
I'm humbled and honored that it received 1st Place
in the Watercolor Category.

Dili Lighthouse

Watercolor painting of clouds and an unique lighthouse

Watercolor painting of the lighthouse in Dili, Timor-Leste

This is painted from an old reference photo (black and white) from the late 1950s when it was Portuguese Timor.  This lighthouse in the capital of Dili is unique because it is not enclosed!

2016 Trip to Tuscany

This is a 1,000-year-old monastery of San Fedele in Radda,
the Chianti Region of Tuscany, South of Florence, Italy
What a beautiful and peaceful place to paint and play.

My favorite artist Janet Rogers demonstrates watercolor painting.
She and Steve Rogers led the wonderful week-long Tuscany workshop
